Flint Bishop retains top tier status for debt recovery

We are pleased to announce that Flint Bishop has retained its top tier ranking in The Legal 500 for debt recovery for the fifth consecutive year.

Specialising in offering complete end-to-end collections solutions to many of the UK’s leading household name brands, Flint Bishop is noted for its enviable track record in the B2B utility industry, where it acts for some of the largest energy suppliers in the UK for both live and ceased debts.

This year, Flint Bishop is one of only two law firms in its classification to hold the top tier status for debt recovery, in addition to maintaining our top tier status for commercial litigation.

One of many technological offerings which clients find “extremely useful” is our recently developed score-carding system, which highlights the areas within a debt portfolio requiring more resources in order to maximise recoveries.

Commenting on the firm’s debt recovery service, one client said:

“The team are very passionate about their role, their system allows us to keep in touch in real time which is extremely useful to us. This year they have just launched a new data team which provides detailed performance on our recoveries.”

Highly recommended individuals

Debt Recovery Manager Natalie Lloyd-Nash has again been recognised as a ‘Rising Star’, with fellow Debt Recovery Manager and Associate Solicitor, Catherine Marksman, also named as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ by The Legal 500 for the first time.

Chief Executive Qamer Ghafoor retained his ‘Hall of Fame’ status for commercial litigation; one of only three lawyers in the entire region to hold this title. Qamer continues to act for clients in complex high-value litigation and is lauded for his “extremely hard-working, client focused and robust approach to litigation”. Qamer is described as an indefatigable, charismatic leader. A force of nature and hugely likeable. Rarely in litigation do you get such absolute devotion from such a senior partner. And enormous fun to work with”.

Commenting on the firm’s achievements, Qamer Ghafoor said:

“It is very encouraging to see that Flint Bishop continues to be recognised as a top tier leading firm for debt recovery in what is a fiercely competitive industry. I’m pleased that our data-driven recovery strategies have been acknowledged as being first class in optimising our recoveries and delivering the best possible return on investment for our clients.

“This year’s rankings are truly representative of the strong results that our debt recovery teams achieve for our clients on a daily basis. Our national and international client base can be reassured that they are dealing with industry-leading professionals who are both experienced and passionate about the work they do.”
