Catherine supervises multiple teams within our Debt Recovery practice area for several of the firm’s largest clients including a global publishing giant, a multi-national retail franchise company, and a number of ‘big-six’ energy providers.
Focusing on the more complex or litigated matters, she manages her own caseload of contentious matters and also advises on salary overpayments and contractual disputes.
Catherine handles her cases from cradle to grave, dealing with litigation and the court process on a day-to-day basis where this is in the best interest of the client. She has extensive experience in bottoming out issues and settling matters when this is the best option for the client
She regularly offers feedback on matters relating to how clients’ employees handle contracts, reducing future litigation risk and improving the efficiency of their pre-legal processes for debt recovery.
Catherine qualified as a solicitor with Flint Bishop, and then continued to handle complex litigated matters and supervise teams for several of the firm’s largest commercial clients. She moved to the Debt Recovery team and took the role of Debt Recovery Manager in November 2019, before being further promoted to Associate in July 2021 and Senior Associate in November 2023.
In 2022, Catherine won the title ‘Woman of the Year (non-creditor)’ at the Women in Credit Awards. This recognises Catherine’s position as a role model for other women within the firm and the wider credit industry.
